Ilham Aliyev received Chavusoglu

On April 5, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, a member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and the head of the delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Mevlut Cavusoglu.

"I have always said and still say that we are on the right track, we have liberated (occupied - ed.) our lands by military means, within the framework of all international laws... PACE deprived our delegation of the right to vote. These are steps that can lead to very negative consequences, and the only reason for this was to liberate Karabakh from occupation (and in fact Artsakh is occupied by Azerbaijan - ed.)," said Ilham Aliyev.

This is reported by the Azerbaijani APA news agency.

Referring to the tripartite meeting of the USA, the European Union and Armenia in Brussels, the dictator of Baku said: "It creates another source of danger for the South Caucasus. In the last few days, the high-ranking officials of both the USA and the European Union tried to convince us that this meeting is not against Azerbaijan, during the telephone conversations that took place on their own initiative. We know that this is against the cooperation between Azerbaijan and the South Caucasus. This aims to create dividing lines and isolate Azerbaijan."

Aliyev also referred to the Turkic world. "The Turkish world is our family, and we must work in that direction."

Cavusoglu, in his turn, emphasized. "You are an important leader in the world, and the steps you have taken to strengthen the Turkic world are known to the entire Turkic world."

Azerbaijan and Turkey make threatening statements, which proves their expansionist ambitions in the region.
