On April 15, some Azerbaijani telegram channels spread Shushi's Ghazanchetsot St. Photos of the "restoration" of the Church of the Savior, indicating that the work has resumed and the repairs of the roof and damaged walls are being carried out. However, it can be seen from the photos that the Azerbaijani side destroyed the cross window on one of the two-slanted facades and the sculpture above it. This is reported by the "MONUMENT WATCH" platform, which monitors Artsakh's cultural heritage.

"On each facade of Ghazanchetsots Cathedral there is such a cross window and iconography. The sculpture on the west facade presented the theme "Christ Crucified" with a corresponding inscription.

During the 44-day war, the southern front of the church, along with the cross window, was also damaged by the Azerbaijani bombardment. It is clearly visible from photos taken as recently as October 2020. Therefore, the works of direct destruction and modification of the details of the temple are obvious, which is manifested from the very beginning of the non-quoted restoration of the temple.

On the topic of illegal restoration of the temple, see: Illegal restorations of the Holy Ghazanchetsots Church in Shushi, about the Azerbaijani "restoration" of the Holy Ghazanchetsots Cathedral of Shushi," the platform statement said.
