Amir Ali Hajzadeh, the commander of the aerospace division of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps, stated that Israel was worried about the prospect of Iran's retaliatory strike and begged Tehran to refrain from further actions. According to "Detq", this was reported by the Iranian pro-government "Mehr" news agency.

Hajzade stressed that the Israeli authorities made a serious mistake by attacking the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus, the capital of Syria, in early April.

"Iranian officials do not seek war. At the same time, certain red lines are observed in Tehran, which the Israelis did not take into account. They did not expect that Iran would react," he said.

The Iranian commander noted that Israeli officials learned about Iran's resolute decision to carry out a punitive strike after the speech of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on April 10, when the latter said that Tel Aviv should be punished for striking a deadly blow at Iran's diplomatic mission. and will be punished. According to him, Israeli officials conveyed their threats through mediators.

"But after a few days, they realized that Iran will not pay attention to the threats and is thinking of retaliating from its territory, not from allied groups in the region," Hajzadeh said.

The Iranian general added that the Israeli authorities have asked their counterparts from some neighboring countries to convince the Iranian military to reduce the intensity of their retaliatory measures.
