Ara Shahverdyan, the representative of Northern Iranian Armenians in Tehran to the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasized the active participation of the Armenian community in the upcoming extraordinary presidential elections. According to "Detq", the Iranian "ParsToday" news agency reports that Shahverdyan said this during the "On the Way of Service" meeting held in Tehran.

It is reported that the event was held in the session hall of the Iranian-Armenian Craftsmen's Union in Tehran, and it was dedicated to the memory of the late President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi and the officials who died with him.

In his speech, Shahverdyan highly appreciated the achievements recorded during the administration of Ebrahim Raisi. "Martyr Raisi considered himself the servant of the people and the debtor of the revolution. Ayatollah Raisi was a symbol of the dynamism of the revolution, who came to the field with slogans taken from the original ideas of the revolution and always sought to serve the people," he said.

Emphasizing the active participation of the entire population of Iran in the elections, Ara Shahverdyan said that June 28 is the day to show the authority of the people and decide the future fate of the country.

"One of the main results of the elections is democracy. The key to compassion during the 14th presidential election, regardless of religious affiliation, is the desire of people to achieve economic and social ideals," he concluded.
