A congress is held in Baku as part of the anti-French campaign

With the support of the People's Union for the Liberation of Guadeloupe and the initiative group of Baku, the first congress is held in Baku, with the participation of leaders of more than 15 political parties and movements from the islands of Corsica, Melanesia, Polynesia, the Caribbean and the Antilles affected by French colonialism.

The president of the People's Union for the Liberation of Guadeloupe, Jean Jacob Bisep, speaking at the congress, said that "France is the country where crimes are committed against peoples living under colonial conditions."

New Caledonia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Michael Forrest, said that their main political ambitions must be realized. "We must contribute to the construction of a new world order and find our place in this world. We have the right to be completely independent from France."

It should be noted that the initiative group of Baku was created by the participants of the conference "Towards the Complete Abolition of Colonialism" on July 6, 2023 in Baku, within the framework of the ministerial meeting of the Coordination Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement.
