A meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeihun Bayramov and the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Unity and Development of the United Kingdom David Lemmy within the framework of the "European Political Community" summit in Woodstock, United Kingdom (UK). This is reported by the Azerbaijani APA news agency, referring to the message issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

According to the report, during the conversation, among a number of issues, the process of regulating relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia was also discussed.

Bayramov specifically noted. "Despite significant progress in the negotiations on the text of the peace agreement with Armenia, the continued claims to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country, as stated in the Armenian Constitution and legislative acts, are the main obstacle to the peace process."

Bayramov expressed his "gratitude" for organizing a meeting between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia at the initiative and participation of the UK Prime Minister within the framework of the "European Political Community" summit, noting that it is the absence of that meeting that does not contribute to the peace process due to Armenia's refusal.

It should be noted that the Armenian side proposed a bilateral meeting between the Prime Minister of Armenia and the President of Azerbaijan within the framework of the "European Political Community" summit in the UK, but the Azerbaijani side rejected the proposal.
