Erdogan announced the need for "urgent opening" of "Zangezur Corridor"
On July 31, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met in Ankara.
At the meeting with Bayramov, Erdogan announced the importance of the "urgent opening" of the Zangezur Corridor.
According to Erdogan, it is necessary to continue efforts to increase the trade turnover between Turkey and Azerbaijan to the planned 15 billion dollars. He emphasized that it is in the interests of both countries to work together and fully cooperate in the fields of energy and transport.
Noting the importance of the Trans-Caspian railway and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, Erdogan emphasized the need for more effective use of these roads.
Regarding the process of regulating Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, Erdogan emphasized that the "urgent opening" of the so-called "Zangezur Corridor" and the early signing of a comprehensive peace agreement are important.
