China emphasizes Iran's participation in the upcoming meeting of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative
Hossein Amir Abdollahian, Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, had a telephone conversation with Wang Yi, the newly appointed Foreign Minister of China. According to "Detq", the Iranian state news agency IRNA informs about this.
It is reported that high-ranking diplomats of Iran and China discussed topical issues of bilateral and regional agenda.
During the telephone conversation, Abdollahian congratulated his Chinese colleague on the occasion of his appointment to the position of Foreign Minister of China. At the same time, he considered the dynamics of relations with Russia very positive.
Referring to the progress achieved in the implementation of the agreements of the presidents of the two countries, the Chinese foreign minister highly appreciated the strategic relations between the two countries. At the same time, he called Iran an important participant of the "One Belt, One Road" initiative and highlighted Tehran's participation in the upcoming meeting of the initiative.
The Chinese Foreign Minister also expressed his satisfaction with Amir Abdullahian's visit to Saudi Arabia and the restoration of relations between Tehran and Riyadh.
