The Ukrainian conflict should not be allowed to turn into a full-scale Russia-NATO war. Stoltenberg
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has stated that the Ukrainian conflict should not be allowed to turn into a full-scale Russia-NATO war. According to "Detq", the British "Reuters" news agency informs about this.
The latter said that one of the main tasks of NATO is to prevent the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine.
"NATO has two main problems related to the aggression against Ukraine. one is to provide support to Ukraine, and we have been doing this since the beginning of the war, many NATO countries have provided assistance to Ukraine even before the full-scale invasion began.
"The other main task is to prevent the conflict from turning into a full-scale war between Russia and NATO, as this will lead to even greater suffering, death and destruction," he said.
Stoltenberg also reminded that all the countries of the alliance believe that Ukraine's full membership in NATO is impossible under the conditions of military operations. "But, of course, we can think about how to bring Ukraine even closer to NATO," he concluded.

Although the NATO countries support Ukraine in every possible way, they do not want the Russian-Ukrainian war to turn into a NATO-Russian confrontation, because its consequences will be disastrous for the whole world. Based on this reality, NATO members exclude the possibility of Ukraine's membership in the conditions of military operations.
