The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia informs that the plane that crashed in the Kotayk Marz was a training plane.

"I confirm that the crashed plane is a training plane. The Ministry of Defense expresses its condolences to the family members, relatives and fellow soldiers of the fallen pilots," Defense Ministry spokesman Aram Torosyan told 1lurer.am.

Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that on July 19, at 09:30, the emergency management center of the Kotayk Regional Rescue Department received an alert that a plane had crashed near Yeghvard city, near the area called "Lcher". According to preliminary data, AN-2 plane was destroyed, there are 2 victims.
